We needed to drive to Iowa for a customer visit. We decided that instead of driving I-40 we would try to take I-70 so we could see some of the mountains so our path took us through Utah and Colorado. On the way to Utah we drove part of the way on Route 66. Driving down the road we saw what looked like a lake until we got closer.
What is wrong with this picture? This was taken in the middle of the desert! Nathan isn’t walking on snow, he is walking on salt!! So everyone got out to walk on the salt…
Timmy was convinced he was going to fall through like it was ice. I took some pictures of the area as long as we were out for a little bit.
We made it as far as Vegas the first night and since we couldn’t find any free places that looked safe we stopped for the night at Lake Mead and pulled out the next morning to drive through Utah.

I have been bad and have left out a few customers that Nathan has visited lately. While we were in Reno Nathan visited two of his customers. The first company is Health Freedom Nutrition. They sell vitamins and supplements. The other company is Eco Light LED. They sell LED lights. Nathan is still trying to figure out how to replace our fluorescent bulbs with LEDs.
While we were in Desert Hot Springs Nathan drove to San Diego one of the days to meet with Jer’s Handmade Chocolates. And last but not least… while we were driving through Colorado we stopped at Paladin Press to show them the RV because we didn’t make it over to their office to show them the RV the last time we were in Colorado. Next to come… pictures from driving.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting another Garnet. Kristi drove over an hour to spend some time with us while her two older children were in school. Kaia is her Garnet baby and she has a little boy named Brian as well. Here is a picture of all of the kids and also one of Kristi and me with the kids…
This is Joshua waiting to go into the pool…
And Timmy and Joshua playing in the pool…
And my last picture is of Timmy walking back to the RV…
We have been having a lot of fun. We looked at going to a couple of the local museums but we have decided that tomorrow will just be another day at the pool because after we leave here we drive for four days heading to Iowa. It will be quite awhile before the kids have a pool to swim in again! :)

Wednesday we had friends come to visit us. Dave and Claudia were friends with my parents when I was little. I remember going over to their house on Halloweens and for the occasional babysitting. They joined us for lunch and then we all headed to the pools. Here are Dave and Claudia at the RV…
And more pictures of the kids in the pool….

The kids are really enjoying having a warm pool to swim in each day. Monday my burn blisters opened up so I was taking pictures instead of swimming with them. Here are the kids riding their bikes to the pool…
While Joshua was riding by the ponds one of the swans came out to see him…
I took a picture of the sign by the pools that shows the mineral makeup of the pools…
The kids went straight to the pool…
After awhile Timmy was getting cold so he joined Nathan in the hot tub…
Samantha and Josh continued to play in the big pool…
