Driving out of California
February 8, 2009 4:03 pm California, RV LifeWe needed to drive to Iowa for a customer visit. We decided that instead of driving I-40 we would try to take I-70 so we could see some of the mountains so our path took us through Utah and Colorado. On the way to Utah we drove part of the way on Route 66. Driving down the road we saw what looked like a lake until we got closer.
What is wrong with this picture? This was taken in the middle of the desert! Nathan isn’t walking on snow, he is walking on salt!! So everyone got out to walk on the salt…
Timmy was convinced he was going to fall through like it was ice. I took some pictures of the area as long as we were out for a little bit.
We made it as far as Vegas the first night and since we couldn’t find any free places that looked safe we stopped for the night at Lake Mead and pulled out the next morning to drive through Utah.
