I have found that I am taking more pictures with my phone lately because I can instantly post them to Facebook. Yesterday I decided to clean out my phone and emailed a bunch of pictures to myself that I wanted to post here. Something happened in cyber space and they never landed in my email and I was stupid to delete them after I emailed them thinking they would be safe on my computer. Guess that is a lesson learned.

It appears that we have managed another successful conference this year. Everyone enjoyed themselves. They liked the hotel, the food, and the employees. Now to start the planning for 2013!

This fall we drove from PA back down to GA in time for the Fall CV3 Camping Trip. This year it was held st Stone Mountain and included a day at the high ropes course. Here is a picture of the front of the course…

The morning consisted of team building games. I’m still not sure why he had to stand around blindfolded…

After lunch everyone went through the ropes course. It is like a big erector set that you are strapped into. I thought this would make it so I could do it… I was wrong! I made it across two boards and froze! Oh well… the course has three levels: 10ft, 20ft, and 30ft. All three of my kids made it on all three levels. They are too young for fear. Samantha was scared a couple of times but she worked through it. Here is a picture of Nathan with Joshua…

Timmy and Josh needed to have an adult with them because they couldn’t get their ropes into the tracks without help. Throughout the course you go to a challenge and are given two tracks that you can go to, one easier, one more difficult. Then you have a platform and then another challenge with two choices.

Our last big event before leaving GA was the very first CommerceV3 User Conference that was held at the Hyatt in Savannah, GA on Mother’s Day weekend. Nathan and I had a nice room with a riverview and a little porch. Here is a view from our room…

After the tour there was a reception on Friday night to officially start the conference…

The conference finished up with some more sessions on Sunday. All in all, everything went great!!

Last week we had another CommerceV3 Camping Trip. This time we tried a state park in South Carolina so that we could have a canoe trip on Saturday. We stayed at Ghivans Ferry State Park because they had cabins. It was a decent older park but I wouldn’t choose to stay there again. Here is a picture of Nathan’s dad, Ron, in the kitchen and another of our fearless cook, Scotty.

The camping trip was great. I will put pictures of the canoe trip in the next post. The only bad spot in the week for me was that Joshua and Nathan both were bit by ticks after the canoe trip. We did a tick check on the kids after stopping for lunch and didn’t see anything but when I took his shirt off to change him into pajamas there was a tick stuck to the middle of his back. He screamed quite a bit while Nathan removed it. Then before bed we double checked for ticks and found a tick on Nathan’s chest. Fun times! :)
