Orange Grove RV Park; Bakersfield, CA

California, Campgrounds No Comments

Here is a picture of sites #163 & #164. Note the orange trees separating the sites. We have been doing seasonal lights on the RV. The ones that are up now are for Valentine’s Day. :)

Things I like: $35/night for full hook-up with cable and all of the oranges you can eat. That is the most reasonable price we have had in California. Large, clean restroom with great showers. Orange pickers for you to use for free. Laundry was also priced reasonably. $1.25 for washers and $1.00 for dryers.

Things I don’t like: The sites are dirt and the grove has a lot of mud so there has been a lot of dirt tracked in.

San Francisco RV Resort; Pacifica, CA

The staff is very nice at this park. It is south of San Francisco but within a 20 minute drive of the city. We are in sites #43 & #44 which are both large ocean sites. The sites are very close together.

However, the view would be hard to beat.

Things I like: The view!! The ocean breeze!! Full hookup sites with cable, laundry on site with a dozen washers and dryers.

Things I don’t like: Spaces very close together, pricey but what do you expect from CA near a large city.

Terrible’s Gold Ranch Casino RV Park; Verdi, NV

Well, although it is named Terrible it is a very nice RV Park. This is off of exit 2 on I-80 West in Nevada. It has a small casino, a gas station with diesel, a Jack in the Box, and a restaurant. I meant to get a picture of our sites this morning before we left and forgot. It had beautiful views of the mountains and is far enough away from Reno to be out of the noise and city but close enough if you have a reason to be there.

Things I like: There are 6 washers and 6 dryers in the laundry room. There is a pool and jacuzzi and beautiful views. Full hookup plus cable.

Lake Mead RV Village; Boulder City, NV

This is the campground that we stayed at while visiting in Las Vegas. This is another park that is within a National Park. This is a picture of sites 15 & 16 which are river view sites.

Things I like: Again, this park has 50amp, water, sewer and cable. It has beautiful views of Lake Mead. I will let the pictures below talk for the view.

Things I don’t like: They do not allow you to take truck campers off of the truck. We went to Las Vegas the first night but we were greeted in the morning with the camp host telling us that the camper needed to be back on the truck. :(

Grand Canyon Trailer Village; South Rim

Arizona, Campgrounds No Comments

I didn’t take a picture of our sites. They were basic sites with LOTS of snow!

Things I like: For a campground in a National Park this has lots of ammenities. There is 50amp electric, water, sewer, AND cable at all the sites.

Things I don’t like: I think the only negative is that if you need groceries you will be stuck with what is at the small store at the park because there aren’t any towns nearby.
