Samantha’s first overnight camp was held at Camp Singing Hills. It was a Core Camp that was called Challenges Are For Me. Because it is a Core Camp, you have to have a leader or parent with you so Nathan took her. I am glad since I am not sure I could have slept in the tents….
Here is Samantha helping with a flag ceremony…
The Challenges included a rope course. Here is Samantha holding on…
Of couse they did other things as well, like archery…
Here is Samantha showing off where the arrow hit…
This particular camp only had Nathan, Samantha, and a troop of 7 girls from Pittsburgh. Here is a picture of the whole group…

While Nathan and I were driving to Wisconsin to get Dory, my mom was doing touristy things with her friend who was visiting. One of those things was going to an animal park where she rode a camel. Here are two of the pictures…

One of the weekends that the kids DIDN’T have scouting was the canoe weekend at camp. Here is a picture of my mom and the kids posing in the canoe before the trip…
Unfortunately after this shot I heard someone fell out of their canoe so I ran and put the camera back in the truck. :(
The campground owner was taking pictures from the shore as everyone left so here are two of her pictures…
We had no problems on the trip. The water was a little low so I actually had to get out and pull our canoe through a few of the obstacles but we had a lot of fun. Since then Nathan and I have gone on a longer trip with some borrowed kayaks with one of our neighbors.

Tonight I was catching up on pictures and needed to do some updates. On Memorial Day Timmy marched in a parade in Greenville, PA. It is one of the towns close to our summer campground. Here are a few pictures of Timmy from the parade.
