At church Samantha was given the assignment to draw a saint on a shirt and make a sock puppet so she could teach one of the younger classes about a saint. Most of the family is not talented artistically. However, Aunt Bridgette was in town visiting for a few hours picking up Aunt Christina to take her home after her back surgery. Aunt Bridgette is extremely talented. I gave her 6 paint markers and a white shirt along with a picture of Saint Rebecca….
I think it is safe to say that Samantha had the best shirt at the church! Thanks Aunt Bridgette!!
Samantha also has been getting involved with the local girl scout troop while we are in PA, so she had the opportunity to march in the Greenville Halloween parade with the troop. They all wore pink from head to toe (even their hair) and threw Bazooka bubblegum to the crowd while singing a Bazooka bubblegum song…

This year we were in PA long enough to see some beautiful foliage. I took pictures of my favorite trees and also of the views down at the river. Enjoy…

We celebrated Halloween at Shenango this year. We were still in PA for the actual Halloween so this was the only celebration of the holiday that the kids got. Of course the kids wanted to enter the costume contest again but we didn’t win this year. I guess we need to change our costumes. Here is Samantha with her friend Courtney…
Joshua dressed as Captain Hook…
Timmy dressed as Prince Caspian…
A picture of Nathan’s haircut. We shaved scabbards into the beard and left a mohawk in the middle…

Timmy turned 8 this September. We decided to go to the Hershey RV show and to Washington, DC so we actually celebrated his birthday while at Hershey. First, before we left we had a party at the RV with Aunt Christina. Here is Timmy with his cupcake…
And opening his new Nintendo DSi…
I don’t usually put more than 8 pictures in a post but looking at it this one will have 12. When we got to Hershey Timmy wanted to try making his own candy bar at the new attraction…
First everyone has to get aprons, gloves, and hair coverings on…
After choosing your chocolate (our only choice was milk but dark and white our coming), you choose up to three inclusions…
Next you can choose if you want sprinkles on top of your candy bar…
Confirm your choices…
Next you get to watch your candy bar being made…
When your candy bar comes to an inclusion station that you have chosen the inclusions are deposited into your chocolate shell…
After all of the inclusions have been added it runs through flowing chocolate to cover the bar…
While your candy bar is cooling you get to design your cover….
Here is a picture of all of our candy bar covers…

This year Nathan was put in charge of pirate weekend at the campground. We hid treasure boxes throughout the campground and people chose which maps to follow and had to find the treasure boxes. Once they found the boxes they would take one jewel from the box. Once they had collected one jewel from each of the boxes they took their jewels in to the office and exchanged them for some pirate coins. Everyone had a fun time. Nathan decided to shave his head and decorate it for the occassion…
Needless to say I was thankful that he was able to wash the sharpie off of his head by Sunday morning. I was starting to worry about sitting next to him in church.
