Driving through the Adirondacks

Family Fun, New York, Vermont 1 Comment

On Sunday we left our camp and spent a couple of days with Nathan’s parents at their camp. On Tuesday we left and drove from upstate New York to Vermont. Here is a picture of one of the beautiful rivers we crossed over….

And another of Lake Champlain as we crossed over into Vermont…

Tonight we are sitting outside of the Vermont Teddy Bear Company. Tomorrow we have a long day of tours planned. We are starting out with the teddy bears, then heading to Cold Hollow Cider Mill, then to Ben & Jerry’s (I am hoping that I like the flavor they are giving out tomorrow), then to Cabot Creamery. After all of the tours we will be heading to Manchester, NH so that we will be near to one of my Garnet friend’s houses. She has generously offered to teach Samantha about horses and let her help with the morning chores on Thursday so she can earn her horse badges. :)

Silly Dogs!

I have been having so much fun watching Tinkerbell and Dory playing lately. Their favorite game is steal the bone. It doesn’t matter how many bones are out, they both want the bone the other has. :)

Here is a picture of them wrestling together…

Here is my favorite picture. Dory decided to go into Tinkerbell’s crate (relatively small) to steal a toy. Tinkerbell followed her in. I am still not sure how both of their bodies were in there or how they got back out without us having to take apart the crate. :)

When we bought our first mastiff, Grendel, Nathan used to let him sit in his lap. I have this same picture with Grendel somewhere. Here is Nathan and Dory….

And another of Dory being a typical mastiff…

And the last one of the dogs… Today while driving the dogs decided to curl up together by the front seats…

Vicki’s Graduation

Family Fun, New York No Comments

Nathan’s older sister Vicki graduated this year with a Masters. Nathan’s parents were throwing her a party the same weekend that Samantha and her cousin Alex were camping for Girl Scouts. So we checked into the KOA where the Girl Scouts were camping and got Samantha settled and we drove to Vicki’s graduation party with the boys. Here is a picture of Vicki with her cake…

Here are some pictures of Timmy and Josh playing on the playground before the party….

Memorial Day Parade

Tonight I was catching up on pictures and needed to do some updates. On Memorial Day Timmy marched in a parade in Greenville, PA. It is one of the towns close to our summer campground. Here are a few pictures of Timmy from the parade.

Dory!

Nathan and I decided we couldn’t NOT have a mastiff. I had always told him that if we were not showing anymore I wanted a brindle because I love their coloring. So… we found a family that had two 6 month old brindles left from their litter near Milwaukee, WI. We started driving on Tuesday afternoon. We left Pennsylvania around 2:00. We made it to a Walmart a few miles from the breeder’s house by 12:30 that night.

While we were driving we called the breeder to see if we could see his dogs before he went to work so at 6:30 in the morning we were looking at the brindle pups. We liked the apricot brindle’s colors better but she was very shy and we didn’t feel like that would work with our lifestyle. So… we left with the fawn brindle. They had figured they were keeping her and had named her Just Keep Swimming (Dory from Nemo). We our keeping her name since she is already 6 months old. We are ready for Disney now that we have Tinkerbell and Dory!! :)

Here is Timmy greeting the new dog:

We took a picture of Dory’s feet next to Tinkerbell’s feet while we were driving….

Unfortunately Dori has pooped in the RV 3 times now, so she was put in the extra crate as punishment. It reminded Nathan of the giraffes in the circus train from Dumbo…

This morning Timmy went with Nathan to walk the dogs. I looked out and Timmy was walking Dory so I had to get a picture…
