Joshua turned 6 this year while we were at Disney. He wanted to go to the Sci-Fi Drive In for his birthday lunch. Here is a picture of everyone seated in the car…

During our trip to Disney this year Nathan had to take a side trip to Vermont. While he was in Vermont we decided to try a restaurant we haven’t gone to yet, Coral Reef. It is a restaurant in the Living Seas where you can watch the fish swim. Unfortunately the lighting didn’t allow good pictures of the tanks. I wish it had because there was a huge sea turtle that kept coming down and sat watching one of the diners while he ate. It was quite humorous to watch. We had a great Safari ride this year. We had two animals that came so close to the bus that we could have touched them. One of them was an ostrich that actually followed us for a bit…

Timmy was finally tall enough this year to ride ALL of the rides. This means that he rode Rock-N-Rollercoaster at Hollywood Studios and the Dino Spin ride at Animal Kingdom. Here is a picture of Samantha and Timmy in the dino vehicle…

Since the boys were in desperate need of haircuts anyway we took them for their annual trip to the Main Street Barber Shop. Grandma got her hair colored too with pink streaks. Here is my mom’s hairdo…

My mom wanted to give the kids a special gift this year so she paid for everyone to run the Family Fun 5K at Disney. We had to be up and out by 5:00 to get there in time. Then it is a lot of standing in the gate waiting for the race to start. Here is Timmy waiting for the race to start…

Samantha kept up with my mom and I during the running/walking. I had to drag Josh most of the way. However, Timmy wanted to run so Nathan told him he would run behind him figuring he would only run for the first 1/4 mile or so. Timmy started darting in and out of runners making Nathan have to jump over benches and walls to keep up. Timmy ended up finishing in just over 36 minutes, a little bit faster than a 12 minute mile. :)

A few days after Christmas we left for Tampa and a month of Florida. Nathan’s parents joined us for a few days in Tampa. One of the places that Nathan looked up to go to was a place where the manatees come to warm up. It is in a water bay that is next to a power plant so they stay there because the water is warmer. Here is a picture of the power plant..
