Happy Birthday Dory

On November 27 Dory turned 1!! Here is a picture of Dory. She has definitely grown since May…

I also wanted to show a picture that my mom took while I was driving down to Tampa. Here is Timmy laying on Dory with Tinkerbell laying on Timmy…

For the last 10 days or so we have been in Tampa. It is one of my favorite stops other than the fact that there aren’t a lot of kids here. They have free breakfast and lunch although we usually only get breakfast. They have nice paved roads for bike riding and a heated pool and jacuzzi so we have been relaxing and getting school done and then going out in the afternoons for pool time and bike rides. Nathan and I go back to the jacuzzi most nights to relax. Tomorrow we leave for Disney to start our 4 days of the Focht Family Christmas. Since we don’t usually have the whole family with us I will try to take a lot of pictures and keep updated. We are showing up a day early so that I can go around and look at all the Christmas displays at the different hotels.

Catching Up

After Disney we went on another camping trip with CommerceV3. This time we stayed in St.Mary’s, GA and the activity was going out on a high ropes course. That is where I got behind. So… I think I am just giving up on the pictures for the ropes course. :) After the camping trip we went back to Statesboro for awhile. While we were there Nathan found out that there was a 5 &10K run across the Savannah Bridge so we signed up. My mom and I walked the 5K in the cold drizzly rain. Here is a picture of my mom before the race…

We took our time. When we were on the top of the bridge we stopped for some pictures. Here is a view from the bridge…

Here is a picture of me at the top of the bridge (thank you for the warm Shenango Valley jacket Debbie)…

Once we were almost done the 10Kers started running by so my mom and I stopped to try to get a picture of Nathan but all we did was waste 5 minutes of our time… I think he had already gone past. We then decided to walk another mile and go to Starbucks for hot cider! :) After the cider we waited by the finishing line for Nathan so we could get some pictures of him. Here he is as he rounded his last corner…

Nathan was able to run fast enough that he can now go up in the starting groups for the Disney half-marathon. I will still be with the slow pokes. :)

Shopping at Publix

Before we headed back down to Florida my mom and I took a trip to Savannah to run some errands and see my grandfather. We took Josh with us and we stopped at Publix to buy some bread and some cookies for my grandfather. Josh was riding in one of those carts that has steering wheels on it and he looked so cute I had to take a picture of him…

Back in Statesboro

Last Friday we made it back to Statesboro. We haven’t done much this time around so I haven’t taken any pictures. Monday was my father-in-law’s birthday so we went to their house to celebrate. The children are enjoying seeing Nathan’s parents and Samantha has enjoyed seeing her friend Lyndsay again. She asks to play with her everyday so most days after her schoolwork is done and Lyndsay is home from school she is up at the office playing until dinner time. We will leave on Tuesday and head to Disney for our first two weeks of mouse time this year!! We will be there for Halloween again and already have our tickets for Halloween night for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. We will also be there for my birthday again. I am looking forward to being back at Fort Wilderness!! :)

Andretti Go-Carts

The last night we were in Atlanta was fun for the grown ups. Nathan has been to high speed go-carts a few times but this was the first time I went with him. It was a bit intimidating but we had a great time. Since I was going and my brother was going my mom offered to watch all 5 grandchildren (!) so that Andrea could go as well. Here is a picture of the sign at the front…

Here is a picture of Tim and Andrea enjoying their night out….

Before getting your helmets on for the go-carts you have to put a head covering on. Nathan decided to ham up the big beard with his covering on. I think he looks like he should be on a big bike…

Here is a picture of the go-cart track…

And a picture of the go-carts…

I was only bumped hard once so I did have a lot of fun. I was in last place the first two races but was finally getting comfortable with going a bit faster for the last race and managed to move up one place from last! :) I am already looking forward to going back the next time we are in Atlanta.
