As soon as the conference was over it was time to pull up stakes again. Monday we drove to Atlanta and spent a couple of nights so we could visit with my brother and sister-in-law. Wednesday morning we started the long drive towards Pennsylvania. We made it as far as West Virginia on Wednesday night. Thursday we finished the drive and made it to the campground by early afternoon. I wish I had been a passenger instead of a driver because some of the scenery was beautiful!
We relaxed for the weekend and on Monday we were busy building decks. It took us until Thursday to finish but it was worth it because we are all enjoying sitting out on the deck enjoying the weather. Even Tinkerbell enjoys laying out with us while we are out there. Here are pictures I took of both of the decks on Tuesday. I will try to take some pictures of our finished deck tomorrow.
Here is mom’s deck in use…

And here is the easy up behind mom’s site that houses the golf cart and her picnic table…

This weekend has been a lot of fun for all of us enjoying the campground and all of its activities. We are once again getting the Mastiff itch so we have been looking around for a pup to join the family. I always told Nathan that once we were done showing I wanted a brindle so we are looking for a brindle. We have found a 6 month old apricot brindle in WI. We just put in a puppy application for her and if we are approved we will leave on Tuesday and drive to get her. Then we have to be in NY next weekend for a Girl Scout camping trip for Samantha with our niece Alex.
The puppy we are looking at is an apricot brindle from Peerless Mastiffs.

While in Statesboro Timmy also experienced his first Boy Scout weekend camping trip. Here is Timmy entering the camp…

During his weekend Timmy learned a lot of new skills. Because of his age Timmy learned archery with rubber tips over the arrows.

However, Timmy was still able to make his arrow stick in the target…

Timmy also learned to shoot a BB gun. He shot 14 shots and 11 of them hit the target. Hmmm… I think he has some aiming skills we didn’t know about…

Timmy also learned how to shoot marbles…

Pan for gold…

And he made a walking stick for future adventures….

I have been bad about keeping up with the blog since Easter but life has been very busy. While we were still in GA, Samantha had two girl scout events. One was a Sock Hop held at the Kappa Delta house on Greek Row. Here is Samantha posing in their sign and two pictures of her at the dance.

The other event was a slumber party at the Statesboro Mall. That was quite the event. I think my hips are still hurting from sleeping on that hard floor! :)
Here is Samantha playing games at the beginning of the night, a picture of her working on a badge with a group of Juniors and one of her late in the night in pajamas but nowhere ready to go to sleep! :)

This Saturday the kids had an Easter Egg Hunt at Nathan’s parents. Here are some pictures of the kids during the hunt…

Saturday we also purchased a new trailer and a used golf cart so that we have a golf cart to use at Disney and this summer at our seasonal campground…
