Christmas in the Boro

Uncategorized No Comments

Christmas Eve we stayed over at Nathan’s parents house so Santa could make a large delivery. Here is a picture of the kids in front of the tree with their cookies in their Christmas pajamas…

Here is a picture of what Santa left…

Santa also left a recorded version of the Night Before Christmas since he didn’t want to wake the kids to read to them. :)

Here are the boys on their new toys…

This was a great place to sit and open gifts until one of them hit the gas pedal accidentally. :)

Samantha asked Nathan’s parents for a nightgown from American Girl. I think it is the only thing she can still fit in from the store…

After opening gifts the boys wanted to play with their new toys. Here they are riding circles around Nathan and his Uncle Bob…

Stone Mountain CV3 Camping Trip

CommerceV3, Family Fun, Georgia No Comments

This fall we drove from PA back down to GA in time for the Fall CV3 Camping Trip. This year it was held st Stone Mountain and included a day at the high ropes course. Here is a picture of the front of the course…

The morning consisted of team building games. I’m still not sure why he had to stand around blindfolded…

After lunch everyone went through the ropes course. It is like a big erector set that you are strapped into. I thought this would make it so I could do it… I was wrong! I made it across two boards and froze! Oh well… the course has three levels: 10ft, 20ft, and 30ft. All three of my kids made it on all three levels. They are too young for fear. Samantha was scared a couple of times but she worked through it. Here is a picture of Nathan with Joshua…

Another of Nathan with Joshua…

Timmy and Josh needed to have an adult with them because they couldn’t get their ropes into the tracks without help. Throughout the course you go to a challenge and are given two tracks that you can go to, one easier, one more difficult. Then you have a platform and then another challenge with two choices.

Here is a picture of Samantha…

The next day the whole company hiked up and then back down Stone Mountain…

Samantha

Pennsylvania, Scouting No Comments

At church Samantha was given the assignment to draw a saint on a shirt and make a sock puppet so she could teach one of the younger classes about a saint. Most of the family is not talented artistically. However, Aunt Bridgette was in town visiting for a few hours picking up Aunt Christina to take her home after her back surgery. Aunt Bridgette is extremely talented. I gave her 6 paint markers and a white shirt along with a picture of Saint Rebecca….

I think it is safe to say that Samantha had the best shirt at the church! Thanks Aunt Bridgette!!

Samantha also has been getting involved with the local girl scout troop while we are in PA, so she had the opportunity to march in the Greenville Halloween parade with the troop. They all wore pink from head to toe (even their hair) and threw Bazooka bubblegum to the crowd while singing a Bazooka bubblegum song…

This year we were in PA long enough to see some beautiful foliage. I took pictures of my favorite trees and also of the views down at the river. Enjoy…
