After all of Timmy’s camping adventures, Samantha decided that she wanted to go back for more camping as well. The only option open to her was a 5 night camp by herself. She decided that she was okay with that so we signed her up for a session called Mess Fest. We tried to get her into the horse camp but it was full. Nathan and I dropped Samantha off the day after her birthday. She was placed in the Jasmine tent…

We helped Samantha make her bed and made sure she was settled in and waited around until another girl in her tent showed up before we left her for the week. Here is Samantha sitting on her bed….

I packed two disposable cameras for Samantha but her picture taking skills were not that great. We also packed the extra cell phone for her but where they would allow her to have it they did not have coverage and they wouldn’t let her walk around to an area that had cell coverage so we didn’t hear from her all week. I think that part was harder on me than her. Here is a picture that the camp took of Samantha with her counselors and the other girls from the Mess Fest session…

We both survived the week although I still haven’t figured out if she wants to go to another week camp next year or not. :)

My picture files were out of order. BEFORE Samantha’s birthday, Timmy went to an overnight camp at the same camp he went to for Day Camp in Ohio. Nathan and Timmy enjoyed it SO much that they came home for a couple of days and went back the next weekend for another session! :) I had the camera during his second session so all of these pictures are from the first session.

During the time Timmy was there a traveling RV came through that was celebrating 100 years of scouting. They did a presentation for the kids. Here is a picture of the RV and a picture of Timmy…

With all of these Boy Scout camps, Timmy has been getting better at his archery. Here is Timmy by his first BULLSEYE!…

And lastly… this camp had the same theme as his Day Camp… Knights of the Round Table… so here is Timmy at the end of camp being Knighted…

Samantha also attended Day Camp for a week. The theme for the week was Camelot. Here is a picture of Samantha with her group at the beginning of camp… (Samantha is on the back row, all the way on the left)

This was the weekend Samantha was most looking forward to because it was supposed to be all about horses. Unfortunately it was a bit misrepresented. They had horse crafts but the only time they had on the horse was ONE trail ride that lasted for about 40 minutes. Here are a couple of pictures of Samantha on her horse….

In between Samantha’s camping weekends, Timmy had another Day Camp right down the road from our camp. Here is a picture of Timmy with the troops that we were paired with for the week.

The theme for the week was Creatures Big and Small so we did lots of crafts…

And of course we had the Boy Scout camp regulars of BB Guns and Archery…
